Spelling Bee Competition (5th Grade)
February 24th was the best day of my life. I won the Spelling Bee competition at school.
First, we did the semi-final in the English classes in order to know who were going to the final of fifth grade. There were three students per class. In 5th A the final contestants were Maria Jaumot, Maria Roqueta and me. From 5th B Claudia Pons, Neus Marrón and Andreas Sundin. Finally, from 5th C the finalists were Pau Cuyàs, Noemí de Navasqües and Blanca Bartolomé.
We started introducing ourselves one by one. Liam was in charge of pronouncing the words and we had to spell them. If we said the words correctly we continued in the competition but, if we said them incorrect we were eliminated.
The last two finalists received a diploma and the winner a trophy, a diploma and…the opportunity to win the Spelling Bee in Madrid! On April 19th, I’ll participate in the National Spelling Bee Competition with students from other schools. I bet it’ll be an extraordinary and memorable experience!
